Impressive Throne Room
Exploring the Forbidden City gives me an idea of how the emperor lives his life. The Forbidden City is very apt name for the place since only a privileged few can ever go in here. As a result the emperor lives most of his life within the walls of the city. Slowly, the emperor loses touch with the people an only relies on his advisers for governance. As for luxuries, emperor has most of what life as to offer. He has his own temple, his own garden and even several palaces.
Imperial Bedroom
Some of the palaces in the Forbidden City have exhibitions that can be viewed from the outside. Among them were throne rooms and a bedroom. The inner court is a bit cramped since many emperors started building their own palaces. Since the emperor doesn’t seem to know what is going on outside the walls, it makes you wonder if the emperor is more like a prisoner instead.
