The Jering Trail comes right after the Lornie Trail and it marks the start of the more rugged trails. However, you actually have a choice here. You can choose to walk along the water’s edge on the boardwalk on the Jering Trail or continue on a rough road through the forest. I chose the latter since I have already seen the boardwalk. The trail goes through some unexpectedly thick forest from which a hiking trail has been cleared.
Much of the trail is quite flat though so it is not really that tough. At the end of the forest trail, I turn around to see that the Jering Trail also ends in roughly the same place. From here on, there is only one path. It difficult to get lost here since there are signs all over the place. Just keep in mind that there is no electricity in these parts so it would be wise get out of here before night falls.
