When I finally met up with my friend, it took us a while to decide where to eat, I preferred to eat Hong Kong food since it would be a shame if I didn’t. However, there is always that question of where. Fortunately, I got a list of famous but affordable eating places in Hong Kong, one of them was in the Wan Chai area. When we got to the market area, my friend realized that it was actually on top of the market. I never knew there were hawker centers in Hong Kong. Unfortunately for us, the place was already closed for the day, the man there was speaking non-stop Cantonese and I could hardly understand him. I believe he was saying “no more food since 6pm”.
Disappointed, we searched for another eating place, probably irritated, my friend suggested this dumpling place which I readily agreed to since I was also hungry. The name of the place escapes my mind but it was a small fast food type of place which specializes in dumplings. We ordered a few potstickers 锅贴 and some fish ball soup. It was nice but not that filling, it was tasty enough and it was quite affordable. I would have wanted to go for some street food but we needed to hurry to Tsim Sha Tsui to meet up with a friend.
