Inside the Shoppes at the Marina Bay Sands
When I was living in Singapore, the Marina Bay Sands was one of those places that I would regularly go to. I don’t really buy anything here since this stuff here is quite high end. I just like to hang out here only because I thought the place was nice. The Marina Bay Sands has several components, the hotel, the casino and the shopping mall. The Shoppes at the Marina Bay Sands, as it is called, is the retail component of the Marina Bay Sands complex. As you can see, it is high end but very well made. The mall is at the foot of the Marina Bay Sands hotel and it has a feel of an airport terminal.
Art Installation at the Shoppes at the Marina Bay Sands
I think it is one of the larger shopping malls in Singapore even though I personally haven’t bought anything here. In keeping up with the whole integrated resort idea, the Shoppes at the Marina Bay Sands also has features apart from mere shopping. There are numerous art installations here including one chandelier like thing which I haven’t seen before. Elsewhere there are also indoor sampan rides, not unlike the gondola rides you see at the Venetian which incidentally is also owned by the Sands. At least it was there when I last visited I didn’t bother to check if they still have it. Since I just wanted to go out and get dinner.
