I was making my way up the hill at Werfen in the foolish hope that I would be able to see some beautiful Austrian countryside scenery in the middle of winter. The whole town is covered in snow and I hold no illusions as to what I would see when I get to the top. It was taking me a while to get up the hill because there was ice on the road. The trail turns right as the whole area just opens up and I see a vast scenery of white snow. Apart from the road which thankfully has much less snow and ice, everything else was covered in the stuff.
I tried to catch a glimpse of where exactly the film location of the Sound of Music will be, but it was hard to see anything because everything was covered in snow. I know that I used to dream that it would be fun to play in the snow, only because I grew up in the a place where it doesn’t snow, however, I now know that snow is only best only if you don’t plan on going somewhere else. I can see the road keeps on going to some houses that are in the distance. I wonder if there would be any cafes nearby where I would be able to warm up after all this.
