While I didn’t really have a plan in mind when wandering around the historic center of Salzburg, it was very easy to come up with places to visit since you just encounter them one after the other. I just visited the surprisingly beautiful Franciscan Church. The city of Salzburg is the seat of the archdiocese and it should not come as a surprise that the city has several churches. In fact, just randomly walking around the old town I already saw two old churches. Walking a little further it seems the will pick up my third church for the afternoon.
The area here is getting a little more built up. This area is closer to the center and there are more structures here. I was making my way through the old buildings when I spotted yet another church. This was the Church of Saint Peter and it looks like it is another old one. By this time in the afternoon, the sun was starting to set and it was getting dark not only because of that but also because it was threatening to rain. I thought that the church would be a nice place to be in while I wait for the rain to stop. Not to mention that it would be warmer inside the church.
