Farm Animals at the Alpenzoo

There was a surprising variety of animals on display at the Alpenzoo. I was already prepared to see small birds and animals but while there are a lot of those on display, there are still the larger animals here. They even have large vultures which, unfortunately, were too far away to photograph on my camera. It was a shame since these are magnificent creatures. I was interesting to see the types of wildlife you can find in this region but I think the most common ones would be the ones which we don’t expect.

In a section of the Alpenzoo, there was one enclosure dedicated to farm animals. In some ways these animals would be the ones people would be most familiar with. There were large cows, pigs and even goats here. Since these are domesticated, they can be observed much closer compared to their wild counterparts. It is good to have these in a zoo as well since kids these days might not have seen where steak or chicken nuggets come from. This is not a touch zoo if you are looking for that, but it is still good to see that they are included as part of the exhibit.
