Upon reaching the city of Innsbruck, I quickly made my way to the hotel where I would be staying for the next couple of days. Along that way to the hotel, I started taking photos and taking stock of where I was in relation to everything else. The hotel is not too far from the old town and can be easily reached by walking. Unfortunately, I arrived a little too early, which I totally expected. I was just hoping that maybe they would have a room ready for me to check in to. Anyway, I managed to leave my bags with the hotel while I go around the city first. The staff gave me instructions on where to go.
I was instructed to go to the river which apparently was nearby and just follow it until I reach the old town. Very simple. The River Inn runs through the middle of the city and it is an integral part of it. I would imagine that the water from the mountains would be flowing down the mountain and eventually form the river here. The water looks to be exceptionally clean which is not a surprise since there was a lot of mountain water here. I can only look to the mountain behind the river as one of the sources of this water. I guess seeing a very clean river in a city is a wonder these days since most places, unfortunately, don’t know how to take care of them anymore.
