I was making my way from the Innsbruck Railway Station to the hotel where I will be staying at for the next few days. I intentionally decided to walk to the hotel so I can start seeing the city. The city isn’t that large and I don’t think it would take the long to get to the hotel. Along the way, I can see historical structures which is great, so I can hit two birds with one stone. I know that I have enough time to spend here in Innsbruck but I don’t want to have to revisit places if I don’t need to.
Another structure where I ran into was a church. I initially thought it was a Catholic church but this one seems to be a Serbian Orthodox Church. This church has a very tall central tower and it is certainly very hard to miss. I couldn’t find information as to how old this place is but it was born out of the need to serve the spiritual needs of Serbians who fled their country and found themselves here. The church building is quite different from previous Orthodox churches that I have visited which leads me to believe that this church is a relatively recent structure. I didn’t bother going in the church anymore since I needed to go to the hotel.
