When I got back to Frankfurt from a day of walking around Darmstadt, it was already dark but I think I still have a bit of time to go around. I thought that it would be a good time to buy stuff to bring back. I wasn’t really looking for souvenirs but more on food or snacks. I was looking for a big supermarket and the only one I remember seeing is the one at Zeil shopping Street. I ended up going to the famous shopping street and I was surprised to see how many people were out.
It was already dark and yet people were out. Maybe it is because it was a weekend and people were just enjoying themselves. As you might expect the shopping street was bright and everything was vying for your attention. It would have been nice had it been a little warmer. It was still below freezing that night and people didn’t seem to mind. I was only thankful that it wasn’t snowing and I didn’t have to walk through snow. There actually was still a little bit of snow leftover from the snow earlier in the week. I eventually found the supermarket and got myself a few packs of sausages. Don’t judge me, I didn’t know what to get.
