By the time I was done going around Mathildenhöhe, it was already noon. It feels like time flies whenever I am on vacation. I thought that I should go for lunch early. I know I said that I normally go for something more affordable for lunch so I can have a better dinner later but I was already toward the end of my trip and I wanted to make the most of the time I have here. I want to be able to try as much stuff as I can. Along the way, I saw a restaurant named Shiraz. It was obviously not a German restaurant. It is a Persian Restaurant and while I had middle eastern food before, I don’t think I’ve had Persian food specifically.
I was surprised to see how busy the place was when I got there. It wasn’t that big but it was already buzzing with activity. I managed to get a seat here and got my food. I had something which is similar to a kebab. I don’t remember what the dish was called. All I remember was that that it was a kebab and I probably can’t tell what the differences between them are. No matter what it was called, I loved it. I am probably a little partial to these types of food but this was quite nice. This is nothing like the kebabs you won’t get down the street. The kebab comes with rice and salad. I would have thought that the kebab wasn’t large enough but it was more than enough. The restaurant seems to be popular with the locals. I was also surprised to see that they serve alcohol here I guess they need to cater to the local market or else they won’t survive.
