Seafood Cataplana at Uzonj Restaurante-Grill
We had a great day doing a boat tour along the coast of Albufeira, and for the rest of the day, our group just decided to take it easy. We hung out a bit at the Albufeira Marina and just appreciated the warmth of the sun. There were benches there by the establishments which made it nice for people to just chill. We then head back to Albufeira proper to just rest. We decided to use the pool at the serviced apartment for a change which made me realize how long it has been since I swam in a pool. I was never very good at swimming but I think I should be able to dog paddle my way to wherever I wanted to go.

After that it was time for mini golf, I didn’t really join the guys but just walked around town for a bit while the kids played. Eventually, it was time for dinner which is obviously important. It seems that Uzonj Restaurante-Grill made such an impression on everyone that it was decided that we will go for a repeat dinner here. We had dinner here a previous night and everyone was happy with it, including me. This time, I went for something even more Portuguese which is the cataplana. It comes in a large pot and it is filled with seafood. Think of it as seafood stew. It is actually looks rather ordinary apart from the large pot but the ingredients can be quite expensive. This includes shrimp, and monk fish which I understand it not cheap. It also comes with potatoes so it was a bit of a challenge to finish on my own – which I did anyway.
