Two Medicine Lake is one of the lakes which caught my attention. When I was doing my research on Glacier National Park, I thought that I should try to visit this lake. It was more beautiful than I imagined. Not a lot of people seemed to have made here this time of the year so it gives you that feeling that you have the lake and the beautiful scenery all to yourself. There are also a number of hikes to be done here but I decided to do the easiest one. It was a pleasant walk through the forest and you would eventually arrive at a beach area on the shores of the lake.
The waters of the lake are crystal clear. The water is relaxing as it just laps the shore and you can somehow forget all your troubles. There is a mountain right across the lake. In fact, there are other mountains around the lake as well. If you look high enough you can see some small glaciers here. They are so small that they would probably disappear within the next few decades of climate change. It was almost winter so hopefully the glacier would be replenished soon. There are no seats here but there are logs where you can sit on and probably have a picnic at. I am still amazed at seeing this scenery and still have no one else around.
