I was very happy with my photos of Lake McDonald. It was probably the kind of scenery that I was looking for this trip. It was great that the weather cooperated that afternoon and I was able to get very nice photos of the already beautiful lake. Turned out there was more daylight left than I anticipated so I decided to head out for dinner. There is this places called Josephine’s Bar and Kitchen. Like most of the bars and restaurants in the area, it along the main highway, so I would just cruise down the highway to look for a place to eat.
Josephine’s Bar and Kitchen is in a nice log cabin style structure. It fits with the overall theme of the area but inside is much more modern than it looks from the outside. This place operates more like a fast food place, you have to queue up to order your food at the counter and it will then be delivered to you. The place feels more like a health food place with their compact menu. The one which caught my eye is the bison gyro. I know I had bison the other day but I probably just want to eat something different while I can still get to it. The bison, as usually comes as a patty, and you eat it in pita bread. While this probably was not what I was expecting here, it was nice to be able try it out. They also have a nice selection of liquor but I was driving so I can’t try any of them. Maybe I can check out the next door.
