It seems that the promenade by the River Garonne in Bordeaux is one of the most beautiful places in the city. Indeed, the long stretch of park which follows the bend of the river is littered with numerous landmarks. The Port of the Moon nickname of Bordeaux lives up to its name by the shape of the bend of the River Garonne. As one would be walking by the promenade following the bend of the river, it seems that there is no end to the parade of beautiful buildings along the river. I never did reach the end of the promenade. I had to stop since I needed to take a photograph of the beautiful places along the river. One of these places is the Place de la Bourse.
The Place de la Bourse is one of the symbols of the city of Bordeaux. Compared to the rest of the city which still has medieval architecture, the Place de la Bourse is a square which sports a classical French architecture which is reminiscent of the buildings at the Palace of Versailles. At the center of the square, there is a fountain of the Three Graces which is among the most photographed in the entire city. I have a feeling that this place is beautiful at night. I would need to remember to come back here this evening.
