I think I have explored much of the historic city of Albi and came to appreciate it a little better. There were more interesting structures here which added to the sophistication of the town. One such structure here is that Grand Theater of Albi. I always had this image of France as being a country very much in touch with their culture. As French cities or towns would always have theaters and I’m not talking about cinemas. The Grant Theater of Albi is a place where the people can appreciate musicals or plays. For me, what is most interesting is the architecture of the theater itself.
I wasn’t interesting in watching French musicals or plays at the Grand Theater of Albi, however what caught my eye was the interesting architecture of the building. The main building of the theater is basically a rectangular glass building. The glass was tinted to there was color to the building itself. However, what i most striking about this is that mesh which surrounds the upper half of the theater. One can still see the building through the mesh but it gives the theater a different shape as it takes on the character of a roof. I see people going in the Grand Theater, so I think the theater scene is quite lively here as it is in a lot of places in Europe.
