One of the buildings near the Vistula River viewpoint at Wawel Castle turned out to be a visitor center. I actually didn’t know what kind of place it was. There weren’t any clear signs as to the nature of the building, if there were, I think I missed them. I clearly remember that there were vines crawling all over the walls of the visitor center. What was probably more amazing for me were the colors of the leaves, they were a brilliant shade of autumn colors. It had red, orange, yellows up to green. It seems that I arrived at the right time of the year.
Because of the colors of the visitor center, I ended up just taking photos of the building rather than actually going inside the building. There were people going in an out of the building but there were probably not enough of them to convince me to go in. Off to the side of the visitor center was a tower named the Sandomierska Tower. This tower has an impressive set of staircases on the outside of the tower. I actually wanted to climb it but I the stairs were locked. I wasn’t sure if they were part of the tower of just built there for use by the staff. I didn’t see anyone going down the tower either.
