Thoughts on Hore Abbey

I was afraid that I was not doing the town of Cashel justice by merely visiting the Rock of Cashel. The Rock of Cashel is really as impressive as it looks and I was really happy to have visited it. For such an importante heritage town, it is not surprising to know that there are other places to see here in Cashel. They actually set up a heritage trail which I thought would have been very interesting considering what I have seen in Cashel but I do not have the luxury of time to do the entire trail. Instead I explored parts of the trail.

The Hore Abbey is one of the stops of this trail. It is not that far from the Rock of Cashel and in fact has a nice view of the rock. Looking at the rock, it doesn’t seem to be that high but I was surprised to see how high it actually was. It was probably the best spot to set up a fort or a cathedral in this case. I do not have time to linger much longer in Cashel as I need to move on to the next town. Although I may be running through these places very quickly, I thought I managed to get a taste of what each place has to offer.
