Magical. That’s how I described the night time at the La Grand-Place to a very dear friend of mine. It was night time at the La Grand-Place and the beautiful buildings around the area were lit up. All of a sudden, I thought that this was the most beautiful scene I have seen in a long time. Some buildings were lit brighter than the others, especially the guildhalls. The town hall’s belfry soars high above the square and into the darkening sky. There were still people in the square and naturally they were all taking photos. It didn’t really feel crowded since the square quite big.
It occurred to me that I didn’t enter any of these important buildings. I wasn’t sure whether it was actually open since we were there quite late in the day. The King’s House has the Museum of the City of Brussels but I didn’t seem to be open anymore. I would have wanted to see how it looks inside but I might need to find another time to do that. For now, I’m happy to just look at the beautiful buildings in the square. It would be nice to have a special someone together with you but alas.
