It was funny, I discovered one of the best places to take a photo of the New York City skyline but I lost track of time when I got chatted up by a Filipino couple walking down the walkway. I was a bit disappointed missing the golden hour but I still continued taking photos of the park even after dark. I continued walking all the way to the main part area where there were a more people playing and relaxing in the park. I decided it would be heading back to the Hamilton Park after I’m done with this since I still needed to catch the bus going back to New York.
I’m not sure what my options are if I happen to miss the bus, I think I have an idea of how to get there after all it is just a matter of using the Lincoln Tunnel to cross the Hudson River but I don’t know if it is possible to walk through the tunnel. A quick search on Google reveals it to be not possible. As I was walking through the park, I ran into the Filipino couple again and I mentioned that I would be walking back to the top of the ridge. They quickly offered me a ride back to the top. It was embarrassing to be offered such kindness by people you hardly know, but they were genuinely nice folks. I hitched a ride with them and I got off at the park. I was somewhat relieved since I didn’t need to walk back up the park in darkness. I don’t know how safe it was there.
