It would seem that I was on a mission to explore as much as possible in the time I have during this business trip. Of course, I won’t be going exploring during business hours but in the weekends, I would try to visit new places and I was glad I had very good company when I did. Unfortunately, my good friend wasn’t available for a weekend to visit family so I was all alone. That didn’t stop me from exploring. With the wonders of the Internet, I was able to purchase a bus ticket from New York to Philadelphia. I don’t really know much about Philadelphia but apparently, there is a UNESCO World Heritage site there and I wanted to visit it. I took the earliest bus to New York that I can take and from the Port Authority Bus Terminal I would be taking my bus to Philadelphia.
I was taking a Greyhound coach south of New York City. There was a bit of confusion on my part since I didn’t know how to claim the ticket which I bought. There were automated kiosks to dispense online tickets so I didn’t need to join the very long queue. I didn’t have to wait very long for the bus and soon enough we were on our way. The driver was a bit of a comedian as he was announcing the trip to Charlotte (which it wasn’t), he was also advising on safety and other stuff. The ride was, thankfully, really to Philadelphia and after an uneventful two hours, we were soon crossing the Delaware River and seeing the skyscrapers of Philadelphia. Although I don’t know much about this place, I’m looking forward to exploring this historic city.
