I have been trying to follow a general direction in my exploration of New York. I was trying to head east and catch whatever I see there. New York cannot be explored in a single afternoon so I was just trying to make the most of my visit here. I know I won’t be able to cover all the most famous ones in this visit so maybe I would just try to get a taste of New York. I was walking until I came across what seemed to be a familiar name. Park Avenue is probably one of the more famous streets here and I think the name has appeared as real estate projects somewhere else.
I wasn’t really sure what was so important here when I noticed the sign on a building. It was Waldorf Astoria. The is a luxury hotel which has been here since the 1930s. It has made a name for itself as one of the more luxurious hotels. So much that government officials staying here have cost them their job or at least political points. The Waldorf Astoria is also the site of some global events such as conferences. Probably not that surprising since what better place to wheel and deal than at a luxury hotel. I only got to take photos outside the hotel. I couldn’t see a way to get in the hotel or if they even let visitor take photos inside.
