With our lunch done, it was time for us to move on. We were working our way back to county Donegal and we still have a few more stops. We were following the Sligo portion of the Wild Altantic Way. This route takes use to some of the most exciting and beautiful coastal scenery in the Irish Atlantic coast. It is really great to be able to explore like this. It makes a world of difference that you have your own transportation since public transportation isn’t that convenient. I don’t even know if there is a bus going to these places. But there are are travel companies who offer this package and it might be worthwhile to go with other people if you don’t want to rent your own vehicle.
Our next stop is Streedagh, which is another item in the Wild Atlantic Way itinerary. It doesn’t really take a lot of planning to do this since the route is already laid out for you, you just need to follow it. It is not easy to get lost either since the route is very well marked. I have never heard of these places but if it was in the suggested route then maybe it is worth visiting. I was glad that someone was willing to drive. Either that or they don’t trust my driving, I’d rather be the navigator and complain about their driving.
