Eiffel Tower in Paris
While the Arc de Triomphe is certainly one of the best known landmarks here in Paris, it is definitely not the one most people go to. As you probably already know, that honor goes to the Eiffel Tower, which was one of the tallest structures on earth for a while. The walk to the Eiffel Tower isn’t very long. We didn’t really need much direction finding since it is so tall we would just try to walk towards the tower. Besides, there are a lot of signs on the road which point you towards the tower. The walk took us some nice parts of Paris. They look like expensive places I’m not sure how people can afford to live here. Maybe people just live outside and only the rich can afford to stay here.
Trocadero Gardens in Paris
We were walking towards the direction of Trocadero station which is basically the start of the Eiffel Tower exploration. This part has the Trocadero Gardens or Jardins du Trocadéro, which is also quite well known based on photos that I have seen. At Trocadero, there is an elevated platform where you can see the gardens as well as see the Eiffel Tower in its entirety. I was thrilled at the sight of the Eiffel Tower. I admit I had visited something that looks much like the Eiffel Tower that was an imitation in China, but this is the real thing. It was difficult to take photos of the tower since it is so dark against the sky, maybe it would be better to come here at night?
