I was exploring the one of Singapore’s newest landmarks Jewel Changi. It is a shopping mall built outside the international airport which makes it a great place for people to hang out while they are waiting for their flight. This is all outside of immigration so do not make the mistake of thinking that all you need to do is board the plane. Passengers still need to go back to the airport and go through immigration. As you might expect, a lot of people have the same idea as me and were just hanging out at the airport while waiting for their flights. As a result, it was very busy here. This made it rather difficult to move around in since I was lugging my large suitcase behind me. I would park my suitcase somewhere, take my photos and move on.

While the shops here aren’t that different from the shops you can find in town, there was one in particular which stood out for me – Pokemon Center Singapore. As anyone who knows Pokemon would know, despite what the name implies, this is not a place for trainers to rest Pokemon. The Pokemon Center Singapore is a retail shop and it is the first one set up outside Japan. While I am not an expert on Pokemon as the others, I do know about them and quite a few of their characters. There are of course various Pokemon merchandise here, including a wall of plushies of various Pokemon. From my recollection there are now more than a thousand Pokemon out there and it was hard to tell if they have the complete set here. They also sell some Singapore exclusive Pikachu’s if you are into collecting them. I got myself a pair of these to bring back. Much as I want to linger here, I still have a flight to catch, but it is good to know that this place is here in case I gotta catch them all.
