It was the day I would be flying out of Singapore and I was just making my way to the airport. It was still early for my flight so I have a little bit of time. I decided to visit a nearby landmark. Because of the limited land here in Singapore, new landmarks are hard to come by. Yes, there are a lot of new condominiums but nothing really worth remembering. When I first arrived here, my friends asked me if I had been to the Jewel. I only knew about this because of a friend who just visited. It was right by the airport and it can be easily visited if you have time.
You can think of the Jewel as a shopping mall beside the airport. It isn’t as large as the other shopping malls in the island but it is large enough. With an especially distinctive architecture, it is meant to be a jewel beside the airport. There is a covered walkway to get from the airport to the Jewel. They even have travelators to help visitors get there easily. Fortunately, this is all air-conditioned. It might be difficult for people to go there especially with their luggage, fortunately, this was all accounted for since it was all flat. I’m looking forward to this place, it seems to be rather special.
