Arriving at Singapore Changi Airport

Much as I want to continue vacationing, it still needs to end if I want to have future vacations. I am leaving Singapore that evening and I still managed to squeeze in a nice walk along the southern coast of the island. I had a quick lunch at the nearby Vivo City before heading back to the hotel. I managed to wrangle out a small extension for my stay, at least until I need to go to the airport. This was because for majority of my stay the lift wasn’t operational. This is okay if you stay in the lower floors but not in the upper floors like I did. And remember, I still need to bring down my luggage all the way down. Not an easy feat if you have full luggage of snacks.

I took the bus and train to the airport, much as I have always did years back. I also took the opportunity to see how much the place has changed. I see a lot of new buildings. It seems that Singapore is constantly constructing them to keep up with demand. While this is all nice, they can be quite expensive to stay in and people would end up sharing with other people. This is something I didn’t like and decided that I had enough of. I know my way to the airport but I was still amazed to see how much has changed here as well. While Terminal 2 never felt run down, it has been renovated. There seems to be a bit brighter here. There were also other things to do here to keep travelers busy. It is not a wonder that Singapore Changi Airport has been consistently named as one of the best airports in the world.
