It doesn’t seem that the Cloud Forest Dome is larger than the nearby Flower Dome at the Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, however, I believe the Cloud Forest Dome is taller if only because of the waterfall that forms the centerpiece of the dome. The Cloud Forest Dome tries to emulate the feel of tropical rain forest and I think it succeeds. There is a solid structure which is dressed up in plants punctuated by the waterfall. It is actually possible to go to the top of the waterfall. The internal structure of the waterfall has a walkway that allows visitors to go around and all the way to the top. There is life here for those with limited mobility.
The top of the structure gives visitors seeping views of the surrounding area. Since there aren’t a lot of all buildings in the area, you can see all the way to Marina Bay and the central business district. The top also has a small rest area where you can take in the view. There are some interesting art installations here. I think it would be nice to be here at night but I’m assuming that these are lit up at night. Most people would be stopping here to take photos so I think I should do the same. I don’t think it was a tiring walk. The walkway only gradually goes up so it should be easily completed by most visitors.
