The Cloud Forest Dome is the second of the enclosed area at the Gardens by the Bay. I have just been to the Flower Dome and it was a delightful little walk. The Flower Dome features plants which aren’t native to Singapore and can be found in different habitats. The Cloud Forest Dome features plants which are a bit more common in this region. You can even tell from the way the air-conditioning isn’t as strong here compared to the Flower Dome. Obviously, this one represents a tropical rain forest. With the indoor waterfall as the main feature of the dome.

The waterfall is certainly impressive and even more so if you consider that this is all man made. If you don’t pay attention too much to the details, you might think that this is really from a rain forest. However, it is hard to ignore that bridges which stick out from the main structure. The bridges are meant for visitors to walk about and see the waterfall from various angles. There is a trail which visitors can take to go around and up the waterfall. I think this is a nice activity to do here since just looking at the waterfall isn’t that exciting.
