I went to the town of Werfen in Austria in the hopes of getting beautiful scenery worthy of being part of the movie the Sound of Music. However, from the moment that I arrived at the railway station, I knew that it was going to be a hopeless case. There was a lot of snow and the skies looked like it was about to dump even more snow shortly. It was difficult to see in the distance, but I’m not sure if that is fog or snow blocking the view. Needless to say, there was very little scenery to be had here unless you count the scenery within a few meters of you.
To make things worse, the snow had started to fall now. I didn’t think it was cold enough to for it to cause me problems but there was already a lot of snow and ice on the ground that I don’t think it will be melting anytime soon. Already my own footsteps in the snow have started to be filled in by the falling snow. I felt that I needed to keep moving. At this point, it felt like I was on a mountain climbing expedition except this wasn’t a mountain. Although I wasn’t really worried about getting stuck, I was just hoping the snow would stop falling. Since it was getting in the way of my photographs as you can see.
