Going to Salzburg

Old City of Salzburg from the River Salzach

I had a surprisingly nice time in the city of Innsbruck. The city was only mentioned in passing by a friend of mine and I thought that maybe I should just add that to my itinerary instead of having to run all over the place to hit UNESCO World Heritage sites. Innsbruck was close enough to where I needed to be so I just added it to my trip. After two days, it was time to head back. For the past few days, the weather has been extremely good as you can see from my photos, however it seems that my luck has finally run out. It was raining the following day but not so much that I would get soaked as I walked to the Innsbruck train station.

Just like any other day, I only purchased tickets when I got to the train station. I figured that there should be frequent enough trains that I don’t have to purchase them before hand. Besides, I kind of knew the schedules of the trains when I looked them up online, at least I won’t have to rush to the train station only to wait two hours for the train. I will be heading back to the city of Salzburg. If you have been paying attention to this series, this would be my third time going to Salzburg. I flew in to Salzburg, then leaving it immediately, later to come back and catch a train to Innsbruck. Now, I’m going to stay in Salzburg for the rest of this trip. It was just as well that the weather wasn’t very good when I left Innsbruck, maybe it would get better in Salzburg.
