The whole reason I decided to go up to the top of the Nordkette mountains was because I saw a flyer which told me that there is this place called the Top of Innsbruck. Apparently, there is a little development on the top of the Nordkette mountain and for sure the views will be incredible. I managed to make my way up to the mountain and even walk to the top of the Hafelekarspitze which is one of the peaks here at the top. I miraculously made my way down back to the funicular station in one piece without accidentally slipping. I did intentionally slide my way down the hill because I thought it was too dangerous to try to walk my way down. I think I made the right decision to do that.
I think it was time for me to head back down to Innsbruck. On the way down, I had to pass through what turned out to be a restaurant. It was actually almost time for lunch and I thought that I might as well grab some food here. Don’t expect anything too fancy here since this is at the top of the mountain. I got myself some apple strudel and a beer. Considering the location of the restaurant, I thought that it wasn’t as expensive as I thought it would be. I think the main feature of the restaurant was the view you get from the restaurant. Imagine having a meal two thousand meters up a mountain with a magnificent view of area before you. I think the restaurant would have benefited from floor to ceiling glass wall in order to maximize the view but for now you only get half of the view. The view naturally isn’t any different from what I saw earlier but at least this place is warm and it even has food and drinks.
