View of Innsbruck from Hafelekarspitze

I was 2334 meters above sea level on top of Hafelekarspitze. I haven’t gone up too many mountains in my life. In fact, this isn’t even the tallest mountain that I have been to. However the fact that this mountain is covered in snow and that day was a very beautiful one, I can say that this is one of the most beautiful mountains that I have ever climbed. Far, far below, is the city of Innsbruck. I thought that it has to be one of the best places to live in. One can be in the city one moment and on top of the mountain the next. In the summer, there is no snow here but there are a number of hiking opportunities.

However, in the winter, it turns into a winter wonderland. It is said that this region gets the most snowfall so hopefully, there would still be snow in the future. I think it would be great to come here in the winter as long as you have the proper equipment. I have never been to Switzerland but I think the experience would be similar with the snow capped mountains it is famous for. There isn’t a lot of space on top of the mountain but there was still enough for several people to stay on top safely. Now that I have gotten all my photos, it was time for the difficult part – going down the mountain. I would be lying if I said that I was merely hanging out on top of the mountain, when in fact, I was trying to gather the courage to go back down. Walking up the hill is one thing, but going down is a totally different thing.
