I probably wasn’t paying attention but it turned out that I had only took two funicular rides on the way to the top of the Nordkette Mountains. I actually was quite happy with the view from the Seegrube area which apparently was only the end of the second funicular trackway. It was already very high up and the view was magnificent. I was trying to see if I can ride those ski lifts to the top of the hill at Seegrube but I was told to just ride the funicular and go even higher. I felt very stupid for not realizing that there was another ride I needed to take.
While, a lot of people were at the Seegrube area to sightsee as well as snowboard, there were still people who also wanted to go higher. I don’t know much about snowboarding and what kind of slope is appropriate for what but I can still see people bringing the boards further up. I think I was lucky that I went up the mountain relatively early as there weren’t that many people yet. I don’t know how crowded it gets here but I would prefer that it wasn’t. One thing which bothered me was that sun was facing the viewer when looking out. This will definitely mess with my photos. Hopefully at least some of them would look good. In the meantime, I would appreciate the view from the funicular as I go even further up the mountain.
