Seegrube is the second stop on my way to the Top of Innsbruck. The way to the Top of Innsbruck is broken into three funicular tracks. I arrived at Seegrube and I can clearly see that this is much higher compared to the first stop. The mountain is covered in white snow and it makes for a very beautiful sight. Curiously, I didn’t feel that cold at all. I was wearing my winter jacket but considering the amount of snow I am seeing, it certainly didn’t feel that much colder. I decided to have a look around Seegrube since there were a lot of people who got off here.
A lot of the people who came here, arrived with their snowboards and skis. It looks like this is a popular place for snow boarding. After getting out of the funicular station, there is a row of benches where people can sit and take in the gorgeous view. I thought it was a bit strange to see these benches which won’t look out of place in the beach resort. Further on, you can see where all the excitement happens. There is a snowboarding slope and you can see people constantly making their way down the slope. I don’t know how to snowboard so I can only look. Besides, I don’t even have equipment. I was surprised to not see anywhere you can rent equipment. It appears that everyone has to bring their own equipment when they come up here.
