I like visiting Christmas Markets in Europe. This is one of the main reasons why I choose to go visit this time of the year. The Christmas Markets in Europe are very festive and just a great place to hang out in. I ended up that the Innsbruck Christmas Market near the river Inn in the city of Innsbruck. This was actually one of the first markets that I have seen but it is only now that I have time to visit. It was time for dinner and I needed to find something to eat. I normally would reserve dinner for a restaurant but I already went to a restaurant for lunch and to keep costs down, I figured to just go for Christmas market food for now.

I saw a stall selling something I have seen in Strasbourg in France a couple of years before. It was a flammekueche which is basically something like a long pizza made with onions and meat. I don’t think it is something that is local but it is something that I wanted to try again. I wanted to eat something different and that means something that isn’t sausage. The flammekueche is probably the next best thing here. There are no seats here in the Christmas market, but they provide standing tables for people to gather around at and eat. I saw another shop selling what is an Austrian dessert – apple strudel. Honestly, this particular one wasn’t that great. Maybe they just don’t make a good one. I guess, that is what you get from eating here. You probably won’t get and ratings online for Christmas Market stalls when they only last a few weeks a year.
