Hallstatt at Night

Nights at Hallstatt

Nights at Hallstatt

It was winter in the village of Hallstatt and the days were short. It got dark very fast and it doesn’t help that the village itself is surrounded by mountains making it hard to get any sunlight during the winter. I guess you can’t really have it all. The location of the village has its pros and cons. You may get a beautiful village by the lake surrounded by mountains but in the winter you would hardly get any sun no matter how clear the skies are. There were far less people now compared to an hour ago. I don’t think it was because people have already gone to bed since it was still far too early for that. Most of the people visiting Hallstatt would only be here for a day trip, fortunately, not too many would stay the night.

Cold Nights at Hallstatt

Cold Nights at Hallstatt

As the day turns into night. The lights at Hallstatt start turning on and you get to see another side of the picturesque village. I don’t have a tripod with me so I had to make do with my own hands and hopefully the photos would come out decent enough. By this time, I was already keeping an eye out on where I should be getting dinner. A small village like Hallstatt won’t probably have an endless array of choices. With the relatively large number of people still walking about, I think I need to get a head start on where I should be eating.
