I got up earlier the following morning to catch a ferry which will take me from Istanbul to the city of Bursa. I know that the bus I took a previous day passes through Bursa and that was an option for me, however, it seems that the ferry service from Istanbul to Bursa takes less time. I didn’t want to be wasting time traveling when I could be out there exploring. The ferry departs from Yenikapi Ferry Terminal which is a few stops from the hotel. This made it more convenient compared to the bus terminal which is further away.
I was having a bit of time having a quick breakfast at the ferry terminal. All the time, I was keeping an eye on potential passenger movement. Although the ferry terminal was modern, it didn’t have an announcement screen at the cafe area. I thought it would be convenient for passengers to see the boarding information from the cafe. Ultimately, I had to finish my breakfast and head straight to the boarding gate which is just behind the cafe. It seems that the ferry was already boarding. I was among the last people to board but I wasn’t given the stink eye for that. The ferry seemed to be large and hopefully comfortable. I am looking forward to the ride.
