I have mixed feelings about my visit to Hierapolis. On one hand, a lot of the places here are just in ruins and it was difficult to imagine what it was before. On the other hand, the amphitheater here is wonderfully restored and it is easily the best preserved/restored of the sites here. I don’t expect that everything will be as it looked like before but maybe my expectations just were too high. This is not the first time I have visited a place like this so I should know better. Anyway, I think I was done with my visit and I was trying to make my way out of the Hierapolis.

However, it seems that there is still one more stop I need to make before I actually leave. As you might expect in a place as large as Hierapolis, there are countless artifacts and relics that have been found here. Not everything was left where they are. In fact some of the better preserved ones have been moved to an indoor museum near where the Cleopatra’s Pool is. There are a couple of buildings housing these artifacts so I thought that it will be good to have a look around before I go.
