View from the Golden Horn Bridge
When I first arrived at the area where the hotel is, I thought that the general area wasn’t very nice. It had the feel of a ghetto but it turned out to be not that bad. Sure it doesn’t look like much it was safe and it was somewhat convenient. The area is near the major monuments of Istanbul and they are all within walking distance of the hotel. When I asked where I could find a cash machine, I was told to go to the bridge and I would find them. Sure enough at the foot of the bridge there is a row of cash machines. Turns out the bridge would be something interesting to see.
Crossing the Golden Horn Bridge
The Golden Horn Bridge serves as a transport hub for me since that I would something here every time I needed to go anywhere. But at the same time, this is a nice place to just look around. The Golden Horn refers to the waterway which separates European Istanbul into new and old Istanbul. The Golden Horn Bridge is one of several bridges which are built here. It is nice to be able to walk across the Golden Horn. You get to see much of this part of Istanbul including the places which I have just visited earlier.
