I only had an hour to explore the Topkapi Palace Museum. It was somewhat late in the afternoon, at least time wise. By the time I got to the Topkapi Palace Museum, they only had an hour left for visitors. The result was I had to rush through the entire museum. It wasn’t like I would have been able to appreciate the exhibits better had I had more time. I still wouldn’t have known who the personalities were. I still admired the exhibits but only from the artistic level. The only exhibit which I actually appreciated is the one which has the religious artifacts. In my opinion, this is the most important exhibit in the entire museum.

Eventually, my one hour is up and we were told start making our way to the exits. I think I was able to see all that was to see here. It was already evening already but the sun was still high up which is good at least it would be easy for me to find my way back. I ended up just walking back to the hotel. I never did figure out the tram system but I didn’t need it at the time since I knew that I wasn’t that far from the hotel. Along the way back, I noticed that there were a lot of restaurants along the way. I thought it was a good time to go for dinner.

I ended up going to a place called Antik Cafe. The only reason I went there was because they have these things which blows mist. This makes the place a little cooler. My knowledge of Turkish food isn’t very big and I went for something which was familiar to me – Iskender Kebab. I had this dish several times before and I thought it was quite nice. This is a dish which is basically doner kebab meat with chopped pita bread all under a tomato based sauce. Honestly, I think it is hard to make a bad one. This one wasn’t bad either. But I think I was just happy that I finally got to sit in a cooler place. As you can tell, I was tired from the whole afternoon of sightseeing. The staff were all very friendly and the service was fast. I still think these are tourists prices, considering our proximity to the major tourist sites. I thought it was a decent enough place considering all things.
