For the most part of our stay in the holiday island of Boracay, the sky has been overcast. I don’t think it is always like this here but since we visited in what is considered the rainy season of the Philippines, it can’t be helped that there are a lot of clouds here. In fact, I would be happy enough if it didn’t rain. It actually did rain several times during our stay, but these tend to be short but intense downpours. Naturally, it won’t be fun to be swimming in the rain or even go to the beach but the kids seemed to be happy enough and that is perfectly fine.
The weather got a little better towards the end of our trip with the rain getting less frequent. In fact, on the night before we left we were treated to a nice sunset. Yes, it still isn’t the type where you can see the disc of the sun go down the horizon but it was good enough to give us pretty colors. You can tell people were also excited since there were a lot of visitors who were out at the beach taking photos of the colorful sunset. I think it was a pretty end to our visit at Boracay. I still have my own opinions about this place but since I was with friends, I was happy to ignore those issues.
