We had a late lunch at the Shingley Piknikan which is a common lunch spot for tour groups here in Boracay. It was already mid-afternoon and we were towards the end of our island hopping tour. However, it seems that we still have one more stop before we really go back. Along the way to the lunch stop, we passed by an island with the name Crystal Cove displayed outside. Apparently, this is one of the destinations in the island hopping tour, but there is a catch. Crystal Cove is not just a beach but it seems there there is stuff inside, includes caves. The catch is you need to shell out an additional fee to get in.
Our boat can approach the beach and drop us off, but they cannot linger by the beach, so they were just hanging out in the middle of the water just waiting for us. There is a beach here at Crystal Cove but the sand is course and nowhere near the quality of Boracay itself. Still, this is part of the entire island hopping tour and there are also other tourists here. I would see people going in the to the paid area but we weren’t interested to go in. There were actually photos of what you might see inside and I was convinced that it wasn’t that interesting. We spent the time just playing in the water. All the while, there will be boats coming in and unloading people. You can just imagine how it would be to swim in these conditions but that is how it works here and boat and people just hopefully avoid each other.
