It was my last night in Frankfurt and Germany and I wanted to make the most of it. I have finished doing my shopping and I was out looking for a place to have dinner. I tried looking for a place at the Old Town of Frankfurt but it was very busy and I wasn’t able to find a place. I ended up walking around the area and I was almost about to resign myself to Christmas market food for my last meal here when I thought of walking back to the hotel. I remembered that there were a number of restaurants there, surely, there would be one with available seats.
Just my luck, I saw this German tavern which happens to serve food. Restaurant Klosterhof was already full at the time but there was still a seat at the bar. I had little choice but to take that seat though no one really bothered me there. I got myself a Hunter Schnitzel, which is basically pork schnitzel with some kind of mushroom sauce. It was actually nice. The restaurant was very lively and it seemed to be popular since there was always people coming in. I like these kinds of places but I understand it can be difficult to get seats here. Maybe it was full because it was a weekend but I think this is part of the experience.
