Mathildenhöhe isn’t exactly a very touristy place. There are hardly any signs here pointing to any points of interest. The only ones which I would be able to visit would be the more prominent ones such as the exhibition hall, the Russian Orthodox Church, the Ernst Ludwig House. There are several sculptures scattered around the part but I never thought that they were amazing. Maybe it is because I don’t really know art. Anyway, I decided to wrap it up and move on. I was on my way out and I passed by the Wedding Tower.
By this time, the wedding at the tower was already over and the guests were already having their drinks outside the tower. I didn’t think it was a good idea to do this in the freezing cold but it is a wedding after all. Anyway, if they want to be outside, who am I to stop them. This also means that the Wedding Tower should be accessible too. I initially thought that the door was closed but it was just very heavy. While I was trying to open the door, I noticed that the door itself was quite nice. The designs are not unlike the ones I saw at the Ernst Ludwig House nearby. Maybe it would look even better inside.
