The Frankfurt Cathedral is the largest church or cathedral in the city of Frankfurt. I know that Frankfurt has a number of impressive structures. Frankfurt Cathedral is one of them. I was right in the middle of Frankfurt old town so it be difficult to see these structures within the old town. It would have been easier to see the larger structures would have been visible from afar. Frankfurt Cathedral has a very large building but most importantly has a tall spire or tower. I can’t tell what kind of design the spire has but it gives the tower a massive appearance. It tapers towards the end giving it the impression that it is taller than it already is.
The Frankfurt Cathedral is dedicated to the Saint Bartholomew. Although, the cathedral isn’t an official cathedral because it is actually owned and maintained by the city of Frankfurt. The Catholic Church still uses it though. Unfortunately, the church seems to be under renovation. There is a barrier outside the church because of the construction, so I won’t be able to get in. It is a shame because I would have thought that interior of the cathedral would be nice inside. I thought about that again but I guess it might not be that great inside. The Frankfurt Cathedral was flattened in the last war and this is just a reconstruction and it won’t have the original interiors of the cathedral.
