I was wandering around the city of Frankfurt looking for any interesting structures. Frankfurt is an old city and there are surely a lot of these old buildings here. One would need to note that because Frankfurt was basically flattened in the Second World War, most of these structures are just reconstructions or at best restorations of the old structures. I was looking at Google Maps to see what would be interesting here. Basically, anything that is marked with a camera icon should be something interesting. Sometimes though, the places would be incorrectly marked so you end up in the wrong place.
That is usually the case with some of the more obscure places but well known places would be correctly marked. One of these places is Römerberg which seems to be one of the places to go to in Frankfurt. I have a good idea of what to expect here since there is a very nice photo in the app. However, I can see that there are also much more people around here and I think there is a major Christmas market here. It was still mid morning so I doubt that there would be a lot of stalls open at this time of the day but I think I would also want to have a look around to see if there would be anything good to eat, perhaps breakfast.
