I decided to dedicate a day to explore the city of Frankfurt. Although I have been staying in the city for some days, I haven’t really explored the city that much apart from the area around the central train station. Most of the time I was going out of the city to visit the nearby areas which made Frankfurt the best location to stay in. However, for a change, I decided to stay in the city the whole day to see what the city has to offer. As you know, Frankfurt is one of the world’s top financial centers. I was surprised to know that I was only a stone’s throw away from the main financial district, considering that the immediate area where the hotel is didn’t appear to be very pleasant.
Like a lot of European cities, the city of Frankfurt has been around for a long time. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise to know that there are a number of places here which are old and I was hoping to see them. I have seen photos of pretty German towns and I think the designs of the houses would also be present here. I set off from the hotel on foot and with only Google Maps as my guide, I started exploring Frankfurt.
