I was surprisingly happy with our boat tour of the Algarve Coast. We went for a more affordable option and I thought it went pretty well. There weren’t as many co-passengers as I thought there would be. There was enough time to appreciate the most important spots such as the Benagil Cave and of course the dolphin watching where we spent more of our time. I like how the time was allocated and that it made sure that everyone see what they came here to see. There are no grills on the beach but I think that would have been a waste of money since not everyone would be wanting to eat the food they would prepare. Once we were done with the tour, we head back to Albufeira Marina.
It was already past lunch and fortunately for us, there is a strip of restaurants along the Albufeira Marina just not as glitzy as Lagos Marina has. We ended up picking a place called El Barrio Tapas Bar Restorante. As the name implies, this one specializes in Spanish cuisine. I quickly picked the seafood paella which I haven’t had in a long time. I have tried making it for some reason I could never get it to taste right. Fortunately, this didn’t seem to be one of those mass produced paella which I ironically had in Spain. My only complaint about it is that there wasn’t enough of it.
