We were one a boat tour of the coast of the Algarve region of Portugal. I can see that there are not only numerous beaches here but there are also cliffs which dot the coast. The cliffs are one of the reasons why I think the coastline is so spectacular. They form small beaches or coves which can only be accessible by boat. The walls surrounding the beaches can be quite high which makes it difficult to access. If you so wish, you can bring your own kayak and have this place all to yourself.
Our boat is large enough to carry around fifty people so it is sizable enough. It will bring us to these beaches and coves to have a look. Unfortunately, it is too large to actually go in some of the smaller ones. I know that it wasn’t even in the itinerary to go ashore but sometimes you can’t help but feel bad that you couldn’t see what is here. To make it worse, you can see the smaller boats just go straight to it because they are exactly small enough. Our boat would have probably run aground much sooner than us getting to the cove.
